Unfiltered does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Your thoughts are yours.
We can't see what you type, because we literally have no way to. There are no servers, no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking. Everything stays on your device.
None. Specifically:
No personal information — no name, email, phone number, or account of any kind
No usage analytics — we don't track which screens you visit, how long you use the app, or how often you open it
No third-party SDKs — no Google Analytics, no Firebase, no Facebook SDK, no crash reporting tools, no advertising frameworks
No network requests — the app makes zero internet connections. It works entirely offline
No cloud sync — nothing leaves your device. Ever
Any text you type in check-ins is stored locally on your device only, using your phone's built-in storage. This data is not accessible to us or anyone else.
If you delete the app, all locally stored data is permanently and irreversibly removed.
Unfiltered contains tappable links to crisis helpline phone numbers (Samaritans, SHOUT, 988 Lifeline, emergency services). Tapping these uses your device's native phone or messaging app. We have no involvement in or visibility of those calls or messages.
Unfiltered does not collect data from anyone, including children. The app is rated 4+ on the App Store and contains no objectionable content.
If we ever change our privacy practices (for example, if a future version adds optional cloud sync), we will update this page and the "last updated" date above. Given that privacy is core to Unfiltered's identity, we don't anticipate significant changes.
That's it. No legal jargon, no 47-page document. Your mental health check-ins are private — full stop.
